Clockwork
Jack: Let's work on the inside of the toy. Of course, we can spend a lot of time making it from pieces – then its movements will be unique. But the sooner I make it, the better, so let's try to make use of what's available. Look in the children's room. There are lots of old toys. Take some apart and see. We need something clockwork. Even a broken one will do. Nothing to complex: springs, a reducer, cogwheels, an eccentric controller. I'll pick the most suitable ones.

Jack: I don't even have to pick. This one will do. Did you get it out of a doll? A little tweaking, oiling – and it'll work as good as new. Why would anyone throw that away? Repairing it took less than two minutes.
