Maniac's Diary. BrotherJack: I showed our psycho's diary to Jim. Of course, Jim was delighted. Spouted vague psychological terms at every page, as though giving a diagnosis. But now he's gone to the library to talk to the Puppeteer, and I doubt very much that the maniac will welcome the attempts to get into his head. Let's go through some other room - the hallway, for example, and listen to what is going on there. Task: Pass through the hallway. Jack walked up the stairs to the library and put his ear to the door. You stayed at the bottom so you could pass a test in the room. There were voices coming from above, but it was hard to make out what was said. Suddenly the voices fell silent, and a moment later you heard the Puppeteer shout something, followed by a noise. Jack burst open the door, and you ran after him. There was only Jim in the library who was slowly walking towards the closet, not paying any attention to you. Jack leaped forward and shoved his brother aside, knocking him to the floor. A hollow laugh came from the speakers. The Puppeteer: It appears that brother saved brother once again. Only the roles have been reversed... Well then, good luck on your way to freedom. Jim: What... Jack?! I almost got him to talk! Why did you have to go and knock me down? Jack: Sure you did. Look on the floor - you were walking right into a trap! I've been on this chain and I don't advise to repeat my experience. Jim: I must have hit a nerve if he decided to apply such measures... In that case, thank you... brother. Jack: You're welcome, brother. You helped Jack save Jim. You received some points of freedom and some tokens. Your reputation in the underground has increased by 1. Jack: Thanks for the help, Feather. Not all members of the underground understand me, but I couldn't let Jim fall into a trap. Even though it was Jim who lured me into the house, he helped me in the library, and also... he's my brother. |
