Jenny is busy as ever: she’s looking after the oven. Something is roasting there and gives off a smell that makes your mouth water. She takes a seat on the chair and starts decorating a box for the doll. Jim enters the kitchen at the same time as you. He exchanges glances with Bill and they both nod lightly to each other. It seems that this hardly visible nod is a secret sign, suggesting to start something these too have already agreed upon.
Jim: Jenny, Isami is right, you know. We had no other choice right from the start.
Bill: Yes, girl, don’t even think about making excuses. You are the May queen. No one in their right mind would want to dispute this decision.
Jenny smiles and shakes her head.
Jenny: I’d like that, really. But there’s still so much to be done, or else the Beltane will not be real. And if I become the May queen, than who’s going to do all the preparations?
Jim: Jack is already participating in this event and I shouldn’t stand aside either.
Bill: You have cured the old man. Don’t worry, I won’t fall to pieces halfway. Tell me what you need.
