Imbolc
Jenny: It's time to go. We must go around the whole house with the doll.
Task: Go through the kitchen, the living room and the hallway.
Jane goes through the house carrying the doll and singing songs. Her long belt drags along the floor, and everyone tries to step over it.
Jenny: Brigid's belt is my belt, A belt with three crosses. Come, the lady, Come out thrice.
Suddenly a hedgehog looks out of the churn. Jane laughs and the hedgehog falls on the floor... and climbs up on your shoulder. Nan the rat sniffs in contempt of the masquerade and people laugh.
Jim furtively drops an old wheat spike to the floor, smiles, noticing your look.
Jim: Now that we are slowly becoming the pagans, why not feed Brigid and her white cow?
Jenny: Brigid, Brigid, protect our fire, Saint Brigid, bring us the spring.
Jane's face seems to light up with inner fire. You notice Jack's thoughtful look, he seems to admire her. Jim winks at you, whispers something in his brother's ear, Jack blushes and laughs. And Jane keeps singing...
