Sad State of Affairs
Leonard: I was told to stay in my room, but curiosity took the best of me. I quietly descended the stairs and passed servants' rooms. Everyone seemed to be asleep. I peeked in the lounge. Not a soul was in sight. Suddenly I heard voices and footsteps. There was no time to think, so I slid into the closet which was located in the wall on the far side of the room. As I closed the door, I tripped over old shoes. It looked like they kept a pile of junk here. Trying not to make too much noise, I looked through the keyhole.

Caleb: Why are you doing this, Lynette?
Lynette: This marriage will secure our contract. Besides, who else is going to marry the girl that you dishonoured?
Caleb clearly wants to say something, but then opens his fists and takes a deep breath.
