Leonard: I wanted to go to her in the evening, give her the flowers and apologize. Her window was alight, so I thought she was still awake.

Leo: I wanted to give something to lady Marie.
Caleb: At nine in the evening? Don't you think that the servant should not approach the masters' rooms at a time like this?
Leo: Yes, Mr. Caleb.

Lily, lotus and tulip made for Marie fall to the floor.

Leo: Marie is leaving?!
