Quests from The Panic Room: House of Secrets

Refusal

Jim: Have you talked to the Puppeteer? What did he say? Tell me! All right, let's go to the living room...

Task: Go through the living room.

As you pass the test, you tell Jim about the Puppeteer's response.

Jim: He is still angry... Before the explosion I was telling him his own past, things that hit a nerve. That was treatment that I didn't have a chance to finish. Now his wounds are bleeding and making him suffer...

Jim: My words distracted him from what was happening in the house. If I didn't talk to him, Jack wouldn't have been able to explode the bomb. If I didn't write to him, he wouldn't have even been here!

Jim grasps his head in his hands, locks of hair obscuring his face. You cannot take a break from the test. You need to finish it quickly.

When the door opens, Tan runs into the room and falls to her knees next to the doctor.

Tan: Jim, come back. Can you hear me? It's not your fault, and you know it. It's not your fault...

She's stroking his hair, her eyes asking you to go and let her help the doctor get back to normal.

You talked to Jim. You received some points of freedom and some tokens.

Jim: I'm sorry, I... I must have frightened you. That's because of Leonard - I have to always be emotional when I talk to him. I never did that before, and it's very stressful.
