Old Man's Life
Arlene: My gifts are my life. I do not know why I am here. If you want to hear about it, go down to the crypt and the old fool who betrayed both his homelands will tell you the whole story.

Arlene: The King is dead despite my efforts, but we carried his body as long as we could. Enemy troops were breathing down our necks when we stopped at one of the fairy hills, the sacred place. Arlene: The soldiers left, and I stayed because I was old and weak and could not walk fast enough to get away from our pursuers. In the evening I heard the footfalls approaching - it was the army of my former compatriots. They did not notice the passage under the hill, and just proceeded upwards. Their heavy footsteps caused the vault to crumble, and I was buried next to my king.
