CryptographyMatt: Feather, have you ever thought about what it is that you’re looking for in the rooms of the house? Or are you an obedient girl, who is blindly following the orders of big scary adults? They command you to jump and you don’t even ask why? Task: Go through the living room in the "invisible ink" mode. Matt: Did you learn all the needed objects and now keep running around the rooms looking for them like a madwoman? Your brain is only good for mindless repeating, there’s not enough space for creative thinking there. What if those wanted objects are forming a clue to escaping the house, to reaching me? …Hey, did you actually believe that? I am mocking you! A hidden meaning in a list composed of sheet music, a hat and a broken radio? Really? You better take a list of objects from the table. A list? Is this some kind of a smart joke? A “list” should contain words and this one is empty. If Matt wants to teach you a lesson, he’s doing a poor job here. But when you take the paper in your hands, separate letters are starting to appear. Matt: You wouldn’t believe what a wide range of chemicals, a couple of encyclopedias and a lot of free time can urge on to! The paper reacts to the warmth of your feeble body. Some letters will appear sooner, others later. They have been processed in different ways. Matt: The longer you are holding the list in your hands the closer you are to guessing the word. The longer you’re standing still like a dummy pretending to analyse the combinations carefully, the lesser are your chances to succeed. If you fail the test, you’ll be passing it over and over, again and again until you get smarter. You completed the task. You received some points of freedom and some token. Matt: You love crawling on all fours, don’t you? Well, here is another occasion. By the way, don’t even think about holding the paper above the fireplace. I’m not saying it won’t help, but if you play such a trick, I will come to your room at night and strangle you with a pillow in your sleep. A joke. But trust me, you will not be happy with your own cunning for too long. |
